Meal Tips for Quick Weight Loss

Postby Damaso » Mon Dec 21, 2009 11:02 pm

Most diet plans require you to starve for most part of the day in order to reduce weight quickly. Since this is an extremely unhealthy means of losing weight, a much better option is to go on a fruit diet, which not only allows you to restrict your calorie intake to 810 but also fills up on your daily need of nutrients.

Here are some effective meal tips that you can follow as a daily practice to reduce weight in the most healthy way:

Breakfast:
The breakfast should essentially start with a salad made with cottage cheese and mixed with at least 50 grams of mineral water. To this finely blended mix, add finely cut half of a banana. Once this salad is ready, just sprinkle it with some lemon juice.

Lunch:
A good snack to have before the actual lunch is an apple. For lunch, you can have some pancakes fried in one tablespoon of oil. The pancake dough should essentially be made with just one tbls of lour, one egg, 6 tbls of mineral water and just a little bit of sugar. If you want, you can eat the pancakes with some apple puree.

Afternoon Snack and Dinner:
You can again have an apple for afternoon snack. For dinner you may have a fruit salad, prepared with four different types of fruits, sprinkled with some orange juice and one tbls of honey.

Nighttime Meal:
You can always have an apple right before bedtime.

This sort of diet will not only keep you from feeling hungry often, by providing your body with enough food, but, you will also be able to have a control over your calorie intake, which would be quite low and which will make you feel light.

Sugar Can Enhance Alertness

Sugar is your brain's preferred fuel source, not table sugar, but glucose,
which your body metabolizes from the sugars and carbohydrates you eat. That's why a glass of something sweet to drink can offer a short-term boost to memory,
thinking processes, and mental ability.

Consume too much, however, and memory can be impaired along with the rest of you. Go easy on the sugar so it can enhance memory, without packing on the pounds.

The study by Brigham Young University researchers showed that parenthood is linked to lower blood pressure, particularly so among women.

Parenthood can be stressful, but it has health benefits too, says a new study. Parenthood is obviously not the only route to low blood pressure – daily exercise and a low-sodium diet also do the trick. However, the noteworthy aspect of the latest study is the idea that social factors may also protect physical health.

“While caring for children may include daily hassles, deriving a sense of meaning and purpose from life’s stress has been shown to be associated with better health outcomes,” said Julianne Holt-Lunstad, a BYU psychologist who studies relationships and health.

The study involved 198 adults who wore portable blood pressure monitors, mostly concealed by their clothes, for 24 hours. The monitors took measurements at random intervals throughout the day – even while participants slept. This method provides a better sense of a person’s true day-to-day blood pressure. Readings taken in a lab can be inflated by people who get the jitters in clinical settings.
